AirMadagascar won't give full refund (recorded assistant stating otherwise at PoS)

Hi all,

A few months ago I was due to fly from R!union (east African island that's part of France) to Madagascar.

AirMadagascar would not let me check in unless I had a departing flight even though I showed them details of the ferry I would be boarding to leave Madagascar.

The exiting flight I subsequently booked with them was to Mayotte (another French island which is now part of the EU). I recorded the assistant stating numerous times that I would get a full refund once I cancelled the ticket. It took over two months to get the refund but ended up being minus a €30 fee! They're ignoring my emails requesting the remainder of my refund.

What should I do? Being to and from EU flights I imagine there's somewhere I can escalate this?

Good luck with that one, they are not known for the best track record...

On another matter, how was your holiday? Did you stay in Nose Be?

Had an alright time. It's nothing compared to R!union in my book.

No didn't visit the island. Visited Tana, Morondava, Diego. Apart from some of the scenery, I wasn't the biggest fan. Chose the wrong bus at one point and spent 40+ hours as it broke down/pushing it/walking up hills as it couldn't take the weight of goods plus the passengers. Made my flight by 20 minutes luckily.
