Parking Eye - Wells Next to Sea

Hi Guys,

I was caught out a while back by Parking Eye. It was a pay display car park. I had payed for an hour but was waiting for friends to return to their car. I had moved out of my space but didn't know there was a camera on the entrance.
Anyways got a PCN through the post. I had been 10 minutes over the hour. Couple of points, the camera pictures and times dont seem to be synced to the Parking Ticket machine. By the time I had parked and got my three kids out of the car and waited for two other people to pay at the machine, well according to Parking Eye this was three minutes. (difference between camera entry time and my Parking Ticket time).
Well what ever I've been scammed by Parking Eye but so far I hace ignored the two letters that they have sent. So I am passed the APPEAL time.
Any Advice?

there is a 5 min grace period on entry and a further minimum of 10 mins on exit , the cameras on entry/exit are not synced to the ticket machine

Appeal online tonight anyway, using the template from the NEWBIES thread. PE are one who will probably send a POPLA code, even to a late appeal. You then have grounds to appeal to POPLA (grace periods, and the usual stuff in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread).

Have you got a Letter before Claim? What's the latest letter?

Did the first PCN letter arrive by day 15?

If your total time in the car park was 10 minutes over, and 3 were at the beginning, that means 7 at the end. Most people claim all of that time for walking back to the car, then a quick drive out ; but in your case you had actually vacated the space ( freeing it up for someone else ), which is meeting the spirit of the grace period, not just the letter.
