Hi.
I'm 22 and moving to another part of the Country, as i begin my studies in September i have been in contact with several estate agents that are located within the city i am moving to.
None of them have replied or responded i have contacted them both via Email and Telephone and only to be told ''Somebody will get back to you''
I have been in with my boyfriend to the estate agents where they've taken details from us both and they haven't got back to us.
Are we doing something incorrect? i have recently got a Credit Check from Experian (Just for curiosity purposes) and i have a ''Good'' credit rating.
We've not even been invited to view any properties, we've given the Estate Agents all of our contact details and what we require and our budget and had no response.
I have been contacting Estate Agents via Zoopla and Rightmove.
Please Help.

Have you looked at actual properties online and requested viewings for those you like?
Depending on how busy the agents are, the model of an agent almost acting for the renter and finding you a property is gone / declining. With the increasing information about actual properties online, including pictures, utilities/school info, price comparisons etc, it is more common to find properties yourself using that info and request viewings for specific properties.0 -
This has happened to me in the past, and in hindsight the reason is most probably my budget / requirements and area were incompatible.
Have you found anywhere online that fits your budget & criteria? Are you asking to see these places in particular? If you're asking EAs to essentially look for you they don't seem to bother in my experience.
Estate agents don't work for you and it isn't in your interest to tell them everything about you, or even your exact budget, I would be more vague if I were you."Meow meow meow? Meow meow-meow meow!" - Minkybob0 -
You need to be more proactive. If you are moving to a uni town, then they will be inundated with people contacting them and won't have time to follow up everyone.
Don't just register interest, look at available properties on the web and then call and ask for a viewing.
You could also look at Gumtree and other local sites that allow direct rentals.
Good luckSome days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Thank You.
Our budget is £700pcm which is beyond what the average is in the area which is £550.
I've contacted them directly now and asked for viewing's hopefully i'll have better luck with that method.
Can anybody please tell me what information to include when asking for viewing's? I think i am oversharing.0 -
Just say "we would like to view this property, we are available mornings/evenings/after work/Saturday (as appropriate), please get back to us with a viewing time".0
