Car insurance with an international drivers license!

help! I have taken out car insurance with Tesco, I had to use Tesco this year to keep my 9 years no claims discount. My Husband is not currently a UK resident and His UK Driving license has expired so he has a uae And international license. The under writers of my policy have changed their terms and won't insure him on an international licence now when he comes home. Does anyone know of any alternative ways to insure him for a week?
