How to make tastier mince?

I know this is a really basic question - sorry. Found some lamb mince in the freezer and it's in the slow cooker to make a shepherds pie tonight, BUT I know that it needs a certain something "extra". I put onions, diced carrots, lamb mince, lamb stock (Knorrs stock cube) and bouquet garni in.
I'm fine to make a really tasty pasta sauce with mince, or a chilli con carne, but my mince is always a bit "blah"
Any tips to make it a bit tastier?

As it's on .... there's not a lot you can do without going to the shops
But, yes, another stock cube .... and splash of Worcestershire might help. Pepper if you're still "lacking" a bit.0 -
