VW Android Auto - is it worth it?

Hey all,
So I recently bought a year old VW, and there are a couple of options on the console that I need an activation key from the dealership to activate, namely Android Auto (app connect) and Voice control.
I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with either, and if you think they're worth the £100 activation cost per feature? From what I've learned about android connect specifically it's mainly used for google maps, however the built in nav is sufficient and media apps currently connect fine via bluetooth.
Thanks

Google Maps will always be free because it makes its money from selling the data that its users contribute without their knowledge. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Plenty of other Android sat nav apps to choose from."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0
