    Nationwide has the luxury of no shareholders to scream and shout at them for giving their profit away so easily.

    Well when 90% of profits made by Barclays up to the gfc went to employees and 10% to shareholders, then bunging a few grand to gain market share looks like a cheap option.

    No need to do dodgy deals with questionable middle eastern states to stop being nationalised either!
