***wishes people would give advice required on these boards rather than just being mean to everyone ****
  • :jI think it is a great idea as I often have a fit outdoors, and I did not know that these were available.
  • note to say the original link still works as far as I can tell, despite the old posts saying it'd expired. They've just changed the name from id cards.
"And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,
    Telling me about the sea..."
  • As an epileptic this is a great idea thanks.
  • It wasn't until this morning, when my 17 year old daughter had a seizure on her way to college that I realized she needed a card like this.

Luckily for her, the person that found her put her into recovery and called an ambulance. He or she went through her bag and found her college id. They contacted the college who in turn called me.

My daughter called me from the ambulance and I spoke to the medic and informed her that she was epileptic and what meds she is on.

I then found this post and have now sent away for a card.

There would have been far less confusion had my daughter had this card.

We are both grateful to the mystery person who tended her and would love to thank he/she for their help.
    :hello:
  • Just like to say that there is a link page on there for a list of shops. if you shop online and go through the links first the shop will donate to the charity. includes argos, sainsburys and tescos among lots of others. might be a nice way to give a bit something nice back. It wont cost anyone any extra on their shopping, just the effort of 2 or 3 extra mouse clicks.
