Glad you finally got to the dentist :)

Have you heard from Beanie, quite a few of us are getting concerned that we've not heard from her for a few days?

I’ve seen her on FB so no need to worry.

  • Odd sort of day.

Wanted to get a lot done but it just felt pointless - well more that I was so tired and have done it so often before.

Made tiny progress but it will have to do, I can't work miracles regarding the house when ultimately Mum isn't that bothered. She hates change more than me! and she does keep reminding me I need a holiday. And is right- I was exhausted a week ago.

I have signed up for a lot of savings challenges. Although I have been out of debt for a while now there has been no real sense of urgency for me. I knew I would look after Mum whatever happens and that was fine, however now BIL is so ill and sister is now (rightly) wholly concerned with him I am more acutely aware that it starts and ends with me.

It has been so nice to hibernate here for a while. not doing anything. ;) just planning and getting excited for the new year.

I have opened a tes*cos bank account (for the 3% interest) and will open a Post Office account for one of the challenges.

    I am in

    the VSP
    the sealed pot
the Penny a day (PO account)
    the pound a day
    the Frugal challenge
the declutter challenge (3 a day)

oo and the surveys for Christmas challenge - not the name but you get the idea.

I think there are more....but I cannot remember them. I have a large snowball and don't especially care about anything ;)

I will still save my £2 and 50ps but I am rubbish at updating threads so
    will just do that.

Have to let the dogs in

  • I am so depressed today I think it is because my period has come and I am tired. It always puts me in such a low low mood and I think about all the negative things. I feel utterly miserable and need to be distracted. or to go to bed. I am hungry but that triggers another bout of pain.

ugh. I think bed is best.

Thank you for being here people XXX

I so so wish that you could get to the bottom of this period malarky.
It should not be like this & your GP should be referring you to the specialists.

Do you know what is funny? I only ever write about it here, one of my friends is going through the menopause and is sensitive about it all so I don't bring it up in RL or FB and don't often make the connection till afterwards or if I happen to write about it on here.

you are as ever right Beanie and I have a much better doctor now.

I ate. Scrambled eggs. am ok. need a sleep tho. head is banging.

Happy New Year to you :)

Sorry you're feeling rubbish Buffy. I'm feeling really tired myself today. Just try and take it easy.

You've signed up to loads of challenges!! I always sign up for them and then don't post on the thread, so I better stay away from them myself. Although I am in the surveys/Christmas one.

Take care and hope you feel better tomorrow.

  • Sleep and an enormous cup of tea sorted me out to an extent.

Watched Logan which was ridiculously sad. Really upset me! Just a bloody film.

I think I should go to bed.
