Is Timeshare Maintenance Compensation a scam?

My elderly parents have owned a timeshare for some time now. Today, they got a phone call out of the blue (from a company they had never had dealings with before) regarding timeshare maintenance compensation and they were told it is a similar to PPI compensation.

I've not heard of this before and wondered if this was true or some sort of scam.

Has anyone else heard of this before?

It will be a scam.

Somewhere down the road they will ask for an upfront fee of some kind - they will then disappear.

Sorry to say that I agree with jonesMUFCforever. Nothing good ever comes from companies who cold call and the old story of when it sounds too good to be true, it is, always applies in relation to timeshares

hi first and poss only post but felt i needed to share my experince of Servidoc and claims 4owners

in May My parents received a call from the above about their timeshare and went to met the company at a hotel in gatwick, were told they had a substantial claim on a no win no fee but had to pay £3000 upfront to relinquish the time share to them with some hard sell tactics . Luckily mum phoned me and i said walk away which they did asking for paperwork to be emailed so they could consider. The paperwork never arrived, a couple of follow up calls that we never answered the put the deal out of their minds
"2weeks ago they got another call from claims tracers saying thee same thing but the senior claims adviser would come to them to discuss.
Chap turned up, eventually he admitted he was the same company asked to use our internet which suddenly then stopped working and meant i couldn't look up servidoc on a computer that was working 2 minutes before he arrived ( am i overly suspicious? scammers all around) he got very aggressive when i questioned his colleagues behaviour and asked him to explain things.
He used lots of sales tactics on my parents not including me in any conversation . Comments like I cant give examples of other successful claims and then when things not going his ways starts scrolling through claims on his computer which is working !! whilst he was talking i was online to action fraud ( on my phone not wifi) explaining the deal to which they replied" report it to us " need I say more??
In the interest of fairness they do not have the whole details but as many people have already said - looks too good ? it is ! stay away

he left eventually despite several more stalling tactics and we will not be using their services and i will provided action fraud with full details to investigate

Servidoc Ltd is currently late in filing its accounts so may be struck off the Companies Register, has a share capital of £1 so is probably best avoided completely as suggested

We looked at selling our 2 timeshare / Points and after a year of looking we went to "sellmytimeshare" in Bournemouth. All looked very professional - offices, paperwork, staff but ended up with a potential bill of £16k to rid ourselves of the contracts but with the potential of compensation.Although we signed up further investigation gave me enough concern to pull out and obtain a refund on my deposit of £1000. More recently I have received a call from another company using all the same sales pitch. Strangely its registered UK address is in serviced offices in Covent Garden London just as the first company was, We are desperate to get out of our timeshares but there doesn't seem anyone out there you can trust. They all want to take £0000 of you to cancel and gain compensation but when you research they are in the same - have dubious connections the orginal timeshare bandits, don't stay in busines very long and generally only have one or two directors and in the main are registerd at the offices in London. Beware folks but if youve found a legitmate way out of timeshare please spread the word. Everyone says this is going to be the PPI type compesation thing but how or when ??

Just be realistic about what you expect to get for your timeshare.

Hi see my post I also heard their is a way out and compensation but it a problem of who to trust. They are all trying to get on the bandwagon to sign people up like PPI.
I know we can get awarded by the Spanish courts as others have (YouTube) Club Paradiso win.

Maybe we should all gang up together a claim cut out middle men. Don't relinquish timeshare first as you won't be able to claim compensation afterwards, I was told this by 2 Spanish companies.

We had a timeshare with Westgate, we sold it back to them for a few hundred dollars to cover admin charges.
