Hello all, has anyone out there got a Ring Doorbell and if so do you know how to turn down the volume on the actual bell you put on the wall outside, I know you can adjust inside but it is so loud outside it's annoying my neighbours!
Thanks all

Which one do you have? Do you have the manual? Why have you put a bell on the outside, surely it is for you inside to hear?0
-
Just the standard one not the plus, I meant the actual door bell itself, there is an online manual and I have called the customer services in the US and they can't seem to help0
-
When you press the button it makes the same chime as it does inside the house so you know you have pressed it, however it is very loud!0
-
Apart from the loud ring, would you recommend it? I've been considering one for a while now!0
-
Yes would highly recommend it0

Open the unit & stick some tape over the sounder ??
Bit of a bodge but it will deaden the sound.
I did it with the sounder on a microwave oven that had
a really annoyingly loud sounder.

That's not a bad shout firefox1956 I'll try that0

I'd be worried that someone will just steal the thing.0
-
It's got special tamper proof screws that needs a special screwdriver and one of their policy's is if it gets stolen, they replace it free0

You must get a lot of visitors for it to bother your neighbours...............“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
