    I checked with both equifax and the other one and found that the only thing affecting my current credit history was several missed payments on a halifax loan three years ago to the extent that i defaluted. I payed off the loan last year or the year before (can't remember) but this is still affecting my credit rating with the two agencies.

  • ive had a mortgage with them for a year and had no problems so far. easy to get hold of on the phone if you need to, but then again im not sure what they will be like when my fixed rate runs out and i want a better deal?

    I've had 3 mortgages with BM (am currently with them). I've never, until just recently, had any adverse credit. I use a broker and they gave the best deal when it was time for me to remortgage. As has been said in this thread earlier, brokers are able to get deals that you cannot get on the high street so its well worth finding one (no - I am not a broker myself!). I've always found BM to be great.
