CN from Ace security services - NOK arrived

HI there,
I got a CN from Ace security services on an estate in s e london in mid june just after they had started the scheme
I used to live on the estate and was visiting my old flat - my former flat mates had not been informed about the scheme and had no visitor permits. I didn't see the signs until after but then i had just driven down from scotland.
I read all the advice on the newbies thread and from understanding the ACE is an IPC member but not an BPA member, i ignored the CN and waited to see if the NOK arrived, which unfortunately it did. It states in the letter that they retrieved my details from DVLA.
As i understand it i now need to make an appeal as the keeper online and plan to use the template in the newbies thread. I wanted to check if i should include additional info about the "driver" i.e. former resident, very little warning/ info about the scheme starting/ no permits available?
additional info: I live in scotland now but haven't had a permanent address for the last few months so the car was registered at my parents house which is where the NOK was sent to. Does this make any difference to what i should do?
Any advice very much appreciated,
thanks,
L

SCOTLAND ?? do you now live in scotland????????????????
as you now have a NTK addressed to you (presumably at your perents house) send a letter back by first class post (with proof of postage) stating your new address , nothing more mothing less
await NTK to new addressSave a Rachael

Okay - thought it might be relevant as there seem to be different appeal processes in Scotland (on the newbies page) but wasn't totally clear if that depended on where you got the CN or where you live.
I've been given notice where i currently live so i'll have to move again soon anyway.
Does this just delay the process then?

the appeal situation in scotland is that you do not bother , the POFa2012 does not apply in scotland and they cannot go after the keeper , only the driver , by appealing you will unwittingly drop yourself in it
your mistake is having your car listed at your perents address
by sending a SIMPLE one paragraph letter , , "the owners currant address is XXXXXXX XXX"by FIRST class with proof of postage , should (in theory) do the trick , do NOT send by recorded / signed for , do not bother with an apeal , IF they try CC against you , it will be fun for them
go back to the newbies thread , read scotland , but you have one extra hurdle firstSave a Rachael

Just don't say who was the driver! Obvs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
But if you do move, make sure you have mail forwarding in place.0

Nope- i won't!
And yes to the mail forwarding. Hopefully it won't be immediate
Thanks again0 -
Hi there,
Another letter has been received from ace security services transfer of liability department at my old address (parents) where the car was registered.
I followed the instructions in the previous posts writing a letter simply stating the keepers new address.
I have also now updated the registered keeper address to my current address (in scotland) - i just hadn't done it before because i was not living at a permanent address. Wish i had now though.
The letter says they are writing regards to the letter received....and that the DVLA have me on record as the registered keeper.
"it has been stated in this letter the address of a registered keeper of the vehicle, however, there is no name, nor our completed transfer of liability declaration (that is for transferring to drivers though right!?) found on the second page of the NOK, enclosed."
"Failure to supply us with a full name and serviceable address will result in you the registered keeper remaining liable for this charge notice as stated in schedule 4.....This information must be supplied to us before court action is taken, one a judgement has been made against you, you will not be able to transfer liability"
Please advise as to how and if i should respond. Any help very much appreciated.

Would it be a good idea to get my mother to write a letter stating that I (my name), the registered keeper no longer lives at this address and currently lives at [new address]?
My mother has a different name to me so not identifiable as related to me - whether or not that makes any difference.
Should i state that anything about DVLA? Is there grace time allowed for updating addresses of registered keepers etc?0
