I overstayed by 12mins, now I owe £90

Hi,
I was using a car park shared between two companies - Staples and Lidl.
I assumed I had 2 hours parking but on the NTK (link provided below), I was allowed 1 hour 30 mins. I shopped in both Lidl and Staples. I don't have receipts for my shop in Lidl, but I used my card in Staples.
I called Lidl customer services where I explained the situation and they told me to contact Athena ANPR and provide them with Lidl receipts or a bank statement where a purchase was made to Lidl. I have none of those.
As it was only 12 mins over, is it possible for me to argue that 12 mins should not cost me £90. I was with a disabled friend who I was shopping with, could I mention that this was the reason why I was 12 mins late?
Btw, I was on holiday until a few days ago and I saw this letter when I arrived back. I have until 27/07/17 to appeal the parking invoice
Thanks,

You owe nothing unless a judge tells you so. These PCNs are nothing but invoices and, like a bill from you plumber, can only be enforced in a County Court. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Do a forum search on 'Christian Haertnagel' (get the spelling right!) and follow the advice given in the threads you will read, where an email directly to him will get this cancelled.
Don't bother with Lidl Customer Services. Go for the organ grinder, not the monkey! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
