Unreasonable Clause in Tenancy Agreement

    I get your point. One of the other clauses is to show receipt of fumigation and professional cleaning.
    My question is, should we do these works and provide proof (lets say hypothetically in this instance), does this now make the initial clause null and void?
    Why do they need to keep the holding deposit for such a long period of time and should new tenants occupy, whats to say they don't bring the fleas in Too?
