Its going to be hard to itemise a cost as my loss was my mother on my big day? I suppose its not that black and white? To me it was the biggest cost and she ruined my day that cost me and my partner £25,000 in comparison to £1,200 its not that much. But their wasn't anything in writing about what she was to do on the day everything was just done verbally.

Were these issues raised on the day? What did you mother do that the wedding planner didn't do? How much did those functions that your mother do cost? Could no-one else have assisted instead of your mother?

What is a wedding planner supposed to do on the day? A few years ago wedding planning was usually done by the bride and her mum and I'm sure all those weddings were not ruined.

The invoice will need paid, a court would award it.

What you would need to do is counter sue for loss of enjoyment. It's incredibly difficult to put a figure on it and win but if there is an element the courts decide is true then the judge can come up with a figure for you.

My mum had to do everything which meant she didn't get to enjoy the day or even get one photo with me.

I find it hard to believe that your mother couldn't have found 5 minutes to have a photo with you
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
