Gas meter readings added online disappear

Hi, since April 17 gas meter readings I have added online monthly have disappeared from my online account and not been used in bills, they use an estimate instead. I have contacted supplier Flow Energy about this many times and have been told the gas national database has been updating all this time so that no one can enter meter readings for gas. As I haven't been able to find any other mention of this problem online, I am suspicious this is just some sort of excuse. This is made worse by the fact that their estimated readings used for the monthly statements are now way over my actual usage as they appear to be thinking I am using winter amounts when barely using anything. The latest email from them says it should be fixed soon but there is now a 25 day timescale where they have to validate meter readings so basically they won't use readings given one month until the next so will still be their estimates used?! They say all energy companies are affected. Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, but with my electricity readings. They are not appearing in my history, even though I have been sending them. I am waiting for a bill for both, due any time. With Ebico/RHE

They are correct in that the National Database has/is going through a revamp and has been since June I believe, however it should not stop your supplier updating there records for bills it has just delayed the data being passed between suppliers etc so for example if you have switched supplier during this period or had a meter exchange etc there may be a delay in this information being updated.
