Fired Earth fabulous quality paints 70% off

I swear by expensive paint for my walls because they have a wonderful soft chalky look and even pale colours really sing out. I can't get this effect with Dulux. I usually just have to close my eyes when paying for them, but Fired Earth have 70% off all their discontinued lines at http://www.firedearth.co.uk (go to News and Offers, then Online Shop, Discontinued Paints). Prices now about 7 to 9 pounds for 2.5 litres. You might be able to get cheaper but not better for the money.

Of course it's pretty hard to choose colours from a website. Why not ask in your local shop or contact the web sales centre to see if they have old colour charts? Personally I adore Weld Yellow, a soft maizey colour that cheers up a dark room.

Sale range includes Kelly Hoppen naturals, Kevin McCloud English Palette and V&A historic colours - most in emulsion or eggshell. Good selection still available but this offer might be withdrawn at any time so act now.

Delivery charges for are as set out below:
Order value inclusive of VAT: £0.00 - £10.99 = £0.90
Order value inclusive of VAT: £11.00 - £50.99 = £3.50
Order value inclusive of VAT: £51.00 - £150.99 = £9.99
Order value inclusive of VAT: £151.00 and over = £25.00

All orders will be delivered within 3-5 working days from receipt of paid order subject to availability and with the exception of very large orders. In the event of any items being out of stock we will inform you and give you an estimated delivery date. Delivery will be to a mainland UK address only. If no one is available at the address at the time of delivery, the goods will be retained by the driver, unless we receive instructions otherwise.

Notification of the attempt to deliver will be left by the delivery company in most cases.

Looks like they don't deliver to N.Ireland - they say delivery to mainland United Kingdom only, so I can forget about it as us paddies aren't mainland. I will have to do without the 30 or so litres of discontinued paint I wanted to order.

I had a prompt response to my Fired Earth order. One of the colours was out of stock but they were very helpful in offering an alternative and say they can deliver before end of the week.

Thanks for this - I've just order 15 litres of Solent blue, and 15 litres of Bloomsbury Green for our bedroom and the study respectively. I put them through as two separate orders, though, to save on postage! (Two lots at £3.50 p&p each, instead of one order which would have cost me £9.99 for p&p)

These guys seem a bit useless. Ordered some paint from their website and got the confirmation of order email. Then got an email later telling me they'd run out. Thing is, the paint I ordered is still available for order from the website.
