Hi
I am new to booking.com but last night I thought I reserved a hotel room with free cancellation but I think I have reserved a hotel room that is non-refundable, payable on arrival.
It is now stating on booking.com I will be charged in full if booking is modified, cancelled or changed?
I just seen the same room on the hotel website direct cheaper by 90Euro!!
*stupid me booked this last night late on* I thought it was free cancellation - probably got mixed up with other places I was looking.
Is there anything I can do? (or just bite the bullet)

You could look at booking.com price guarantee, if the room on the hotel website isn't part of a promotion and if the cancellation policy and conditions are identical.
Otherwise you're at the mercy of the hotel. It's the hotel that charges and only they can decide if they'll deviate from their own terms.0 -

its a bit confusing comparing the bookig.com price vs hotel directly. I called the hotel directly and they said they cannot process any refund, but can offer me free breakfast for my stay (which was 15 Euro/day!) so a better deal!!
thanks
