Current passport renewal times

Hi has anyone renewed there passports recently? Or have any idea what the current return times are.
I'm not traveling but need my passport name changed for ID purposes only thing I can find online is 3 weeks+ but I know often they can come back sooner.

I did applications for the rest of the family (on-line applications that you then print off) in May and they were back in about a week. Just done one of my childrens online and needed photo countersigned. Paperwork received by Passport office last Tuesday and got text early this morning advising that application has joined the queue for printing and to expect the new passport within the next few working days.0

I renewed mine online on 10th July at 20:54hrs
Sent my old passport off on 12th July at 16:00hrs
Received new passport at home on 21st July 10 am
Pretty efficient service for this time of year, and kept fully informed through the by text and email:)Thanks to all who post here:beer:0 -
