HUGE hole left over from pond. HELP

Hi,

We have a huge hole left in our garden from a pond we decommissioned belonging to the previous owner. It measures 10ft by 11ft. We installed drainage at the base as it was a massive concrete bowl when it rained. We've filled most of it in by hardcore rubble. But now we would like to deck over it and was wondering what the cheapest way to level it out would be and to make sure it won't sink once we deck over the top?

Any advice much appreciated.

Kim

Just set your decking support posts into Postmix or something similar.

So, did the previous owner - take the fish with him/her? Or was it just a wildlife pond?

I'm a great fan of ponds too, but this is none of our business, is it?

As above, if you already have plenty of rubble in there, concrete-in the supports and you should be fine.

I moved last year, during the number of viewings we had there was one house that was being sold due to a divorce. They and a pond with coy that was 'his', 'she' was still living there. When we went to view it, it had been pumped out....with the fish still in it :(

We didn't pursue that house, all we could think about was the dead fish pond in the garden.
