Not sure if I'm posting this in the correct category but it seemed the most appropriate. It seems hubby signed up for antivirus with Norton in 2010. In 2011 we swapped to a MAC and have not used the services since. On inspecting his credit card statement (as he never does) it seems that they have been taking £50 per year since 2011! I have contacted Norton who have admitted that they could see that we have not used their product since 2011 but are being completely unhelpful. Any ideas of anything I can do or do we just have to "suck it up"?!

Certainly in future check your bank statements!!
Think you may wellbe relying on the good will of Norton here....Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un taith.0 -
Did they not email you? I am with Norton and they always send a couple of reminder emails each year.0

Direct debit? On a credit card? Impossible.
Cancel the Continuous Payment Authority with the card provider.0 -
We have already cancelled the payment order with the card. He had so many payments coming off the card a few years ago that I stopped his card and got a new one and only transferred the ones he uses and stopped the rest. It seems this one transferd as it's attached to the "account details" not the card details? He says he had no idea it would be a recurring bill, thought it was just for the 1 year. Trust me, I've read him the riot act!0

So basically it's completely his fault!0 -
Wow! Thanks for the help Curiosity2018!0

How old is he? Old enough presumably for a credit card. If he can't/won't keep track of his payments perhaps you ought to take this on (sounds like you already do part of it). At the same time get reminders etc sent to your email address or get to be able to read his.
Like others I don't think Norton is obligated to do anything but a further polite letter might get them to exercise some goodwill.
Incidentally why is the move to a Mac relevant? Don't Norton provide an AV solution for them also?0 -
But MacOS (like Linux) is virus-proof, doncha know!0

Tell husband to check statements regularly. This stops you loosing money. If that fails, change your husband!0
