Court Claim - Gladstones

Good Morning All,
I received a county court claim form from Gladstones on behalf of HX Car park management ltd that dates back to March 2017.
I am the registered keeper but was not the driver at the time of offence.
The driver had entered the car park just to pick me up from work as there was no safe place to park the car elsewhere. Driver parked in one of the free spaces and did not leave the car.
A week later, I received the PCN sent with only photos in and out with time in and out. Allegedly the driver exceeded 10 free minutes by only 3 minutes which I doubt is the case.
The car park did not have any signs informing of any CCTV and that there was even a pay and display car park. Only thing I found out was that previously there was a private person checking fees and tickets. Now this has gone to CCTV but there was no information about this back then.
I went to this car park few weeks later to find new signage but yet still not big enough to notice by any driver.
I am about to send my acknowledgement but I am going away for 2 weeks in 2 weeks time, so don’t know what is best course of action not to be sent something I will not be able to reply to due to being away.
Currently I am working on my defence but was wondering if there is anything you know I can go about this time. Obviously, I don’t want to pay £263 for alleged 3 minutes overstay.
Thank you

Just to clarify, court claim received last week. Offence in march 20170
-
You're doing the right thing. Acknowledge so you can get 33 days from the date on the form and prepare a defence to send in before you go away.
They send these at this time of year to catch people out. If you do those two items, you should only need to worry about the Directions which should arrive sometime in September when you are back.
They are sneaky b*****ds trying to catch you out. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thank you
I will send my defence draft as well when finished0 -
£263! They have shot themselves in the foot there. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

3 MINUTES ?????
Gladstones are off their trolley to continue.
But we know this, just like their idiotic IPC, it's run by children
Actually that is a slur on children, Gladstones are so incompetent
that the courts are getting sick of their scamming games
THE LATEST
Judge fed up with Gladstones behaviour
The judge dismissed the claim. She said that she was sick of telling Gladstones the same things.

Get your defence together and go and zap these unethical bunch of nomad solicitors in court
GLADSTONES MUST BE A COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT TO THE COURTS0 -
The allegation is that the car was there 13 mins instead of ten...any proof or just a pack of lies from the parking firm scum?!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Of course the parking company are scum but, do the Gladstones IPC boys Will Hurley and John Davis actually approve these claims
or is it the tea boy ????
My guess it's the tea boy because real solicitors would not be that stupid
However we are talking about Will Hurley and John Davis after all
We can safely say that Gladstones are stupid. Makes the SRA look
stupid as well0 -
Make sure you get the case transferred to your local court,0
-
Of course I will request transfer to my local court
As said above, they are using allegation the car was parked there for 13, however they give 10 minutes grace, so obviously the car overstayed 3 minutes.
Can I use this in my defence?
I cannot post images to show you how ridiculous it looks.
Thanks again for your support guys0 -
so obviously the car overstayed 3 minutes.
No it didn't - look at the POPLA Annual Report 2016.
But, if the timing was written out by a lurking employee, or from dodgy unsynchronised ANPR, it may not have been there 13 minutes anyway. It would only take the 'in' camera to be out of time with the 'out' one, or for the employee's watch not to match the machine time.county court claim form from Gladstones on behalf of HX Car park management ltd that dates back to March 2017.

I doubt if that little unheard-of parking firm has issued a compliant NTK?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
