Hi
I've just moved into my new home after living with friends for 6 months. The property was previously occupied by 2 adults and 2 children and now there is only me.
I've contacted Scottish Power who were the previous energy supplier and obv my monthly bills are much more expensive as based on the previous usage.
Is it simple to compare other energy providers to consider swapping when i do not have any previous usage bills to quote?
Will i have to wait?
Grateful of any advice

Without any proven use history, it's difficult to challange SP's figures.
At a guess
The heating bill will be within the same range, unless that is you turn it off in rooms you are not useing
Your Elec bill should be lower.
One solution, but slightly risky one, is to change supplier - When you Switch, the new supplier will initially base your D/Debit & Billing on whatever you tell them your annual consumption is - What those figures are is up to you.
If too low the new supplier will quickly adjust the D/Debit - If too high they will keep quiete for 12 months0
