Currencies Direct Problem

Great News ! The money arrived today into my SunTrust account! So the problem was with Barclays USA.

Big thank you to Currencies Direct Team for resolving it. Now will they help me recover my out of pocket expenses for all the calls to the USA and anguish suffered ?

The clue was in Barclays' requests for information from you.

Although Barclays may have been unable to disclose that an investigation was in progress, to the extent of claiming that they had sent the money on and even giving fake reference numbers etc, Currencies Direct might consider some recompense appropriate.

I too have had terrible communication issues with Currencies Direct. In my opinion they cannot be trusted and I closed my account with them. My issues related to the ring fencing by Barclays UK which affected CD account with Barclays where CD just washed their hands ‘not our problem’. My money from my US bank account went missing for 10 days and no entity knew where it was. I now use Revolut for all my currency transfers with the best exchange rates and six months later with dozens of transfers done I have never had a problem. Highly recommended !

I too have had issues with currencies direct. So far money I transferred with them has been lost in transit for 11 days. I was asked for additional ID a week ago, but funds have still not been received. I can’t get a satisfactory explanation, and their intermediary bank (RBS) is unwilling to talk to me (I should have no need to, if CDs communication was remotely up to scratch)
