Best date to switch
My fixed rate tariffs for seperate gas & electric suppliers are coming to an end (within 30-50 days) and I will automatically move to their standard (exorbitant) rates on the end date. The two end dates do not coincide.
Having used the MSE tariff check, I will change supplier and become dual fuel. The proposed tariff is higher than the existing, but is the best available.
However, the MSE "system" does not allow a date for the switch to be set.
How can I maximise the benefit by ensuring I stay on my current low tariffs for as long as possible and at least until their expected end dates?
Thanks for any info.

Wait until closer to the end date of your fix and hope that the other tariff is still available.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
