Searching for other items a buyer has purchased

So... the ebay help pages https://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/search_bidder.html say to look at other items someone has bought you click this link http://search.ebay.co.uk/ws/search/AdvSearch?sofindtype=3

That in fact takes you to the home page. So far so bad.

So then you work it out yourself, and end up here https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/ebayadvsearch?_sofindtype=3
where it says
  • Enter bidder's user ID
  • Find items this member has bid on.
You put in the name of someone you know has bought something from you in the last month, and it doesn't even find that listing, never mind other things they have bid on, eg http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/falsone0365

If ebay don't let you search for this, why do they imply they do? What am I missing?

They stopped this some time ago. The help pages are never uptodate.

Is there a reason you want to find out what a buyer has purchased?

There were several sites that could do this also, it would tell you a lot about a buyer or a seller.

Sales figures, percentages of sales to items listed, How many times a buyer/seller had dealth with each other.

But ebay one by one stopped access to the information so the sites have mostly gone.

Handy tool sometimes, especially if you thought there was a bif of dodgy dealing involved to see that one buyer, bought every item from one seller that woould sell for less than his unofficial reserve.

Why pay for a reserve when you can create another account and just keep bidding on your own items?
