Buying House with partner, joint deposit, single mortgage

My girlfriend and I would like to move in together. We would both put in an equal amount of money towards the deposit (£20,000) each. She has very bad credit, mine is extremely good so we would be having a mortgage in my name only. I know that the house cannot be in joint names however I want to ensure the following:
Children (from previous partners) are protected
If one of us die, the other is financially OK but also that the kids inheritance is protected
There is shared appreciation/depreciation on the property value if we split up
That we take out a joint mortgage in 5 years time
