ParkingEye appeal procedure

Hi guys,
*I have read the newbies forum.*
I received a PCN from ParkingEye on 8th July and a reminder on the 17th. They're demanding £40 by tomorrow or it goes up to £70. I overstayed 14 minutes and honestly never saw the signs. They claim the signs are clearly visible upon entering but they aren't. I was going to post a link to the entrance on Google maps but I'm not allowed. If you look at 178 Boston St, Sheffield in street view you'll see. I know that image is from 2016 but nothing's changed since.
I should add that I wasn't actually using Aldi, I was in the pub across the road having a meal. Even so, I believe £40 for 14 minutes is unreasonable.
Just want to make sure I do this the right way before I go ahead and appeal. Would I be correct in saying that I should use the template in blue on the first newbie forum post to appeal? Is there anything else that would help me?
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

That is correct. You don't need to do a long appeal to PE. All you need is for them to give you a POPLA code and beat them at POPLA. Your initial appeal will be rejected out of hand so it doesn't need to be a full version.0

yes use the blue text appeal , as KEEPER (not driver) , use it "as is" , no alterations , except the blue text below
nothing else to help , other than also state that
CLAUSE #13 GRACE PERIODS of the BPA CoP applies and this will also be used as an appeal point or defence point at POPLA or in COURT
good luck
ps@= the not a gpeol idea wont wash since PE beat BEAVIS almost 2 years ago, so dont think that their charges are extortionate , because courts and judges have decided otherwise , so your "unreasonable" opinion wont help you at all0 -
Thanks for the speedy responses guys!
So I just send that as is even though they already have my name and address I don't need to edit it in any way?0 -
no editing apart from adding that extra blue text paragraph
no "sending" either , appeal online , on their website , choosing KEEPER
its that easy0
