I have no idea about the other areas you mention.
If it's an area you know and are confident you can make money on then there's no point asking people here. You know what sort of commercial properties, what sort of profits. No one here does.0 -

You don't usually maintain commercial property, it is usually let on FRI (full repairing and insuring) terms.
We've got 6 residential investment properties (after recently selling 2), I looked at buying a commercial property but instead I decided to invest my SIPP and ISA in a REIT. I chose British Land, I'm not 100% sure that it was the right thing to do, because I don't entirely feel comfortable with single company shares. But I also didn't want to buy a single commercial property either (even less diverse). I perhaps should have invested in a spread of REITs, but I liked the look of British Land.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
Do you plan to keep the remaining six properties with no longer being able to claim back the mortgage interest and wear and tear allowance?0

I've started selling because mainly of my age, I'm 59 (we don't have children) and it is going to be challenge to spend the equity. We will keep a few for now, for portfolio diversity, and also my wife is only 48. I'll probably sell 3 properties in the next 5 or 6 years. Our mortgages are small (and 3 properties are mortgage free) compared to the value and rental income.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0
