Got 15 yr old gas boiler. Separate water tank. Got timer in kitchen where you set times for heatring and water.
Got thermostat in lounge.
Bought nest. But, bit confused. Do I remove my timer in the kitchen and replace this with the heat link thing (using the wires already there).
And change the thermostat in the lounge with the nest thing?

Most smart devices come with a little booklet in the box or online:

Nest also has a list of approved UK installers on its website. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

As my wife would say ‘ if all else fails, read the instruction manual’. In truth, no one can give you definitive advice without having details of your present installation. ‘S’ plan, ‘Y’ plan, ‘W’ plan for example. Get it wrong and you could damage the Nest controller and possibly your boiler.
It is not as simple as removing the timer and inserting the heat link. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
