Drive and porch costs

Hi all

We're currently looking for a house move in Birmingham, two must haves are a drive and a porch. If we end up going for a house which doesn't have them, roughly how much would it cost to add them?

stupid question, Why do you need a porch?
also the cost of a drive is dependant on whether you can put a drive in, you would have to get the council to install a dropped kerb to the road etc.

Mainly so the (house) cat doesn't sneak out into the front garden every time we open the front door, far easier to have a porch big enough we can get into, shut the door behind us and then open the door to the house.

Looking at Birmingham City council's website I'd need to budget at least £1300 for the dropped kerb, but really don't have clue how much the drive itself would cost, I'm just looking for a very rough figure.

Thanks for the link, massive variation in prices there but it looks like under 2k is possible.
