Former GB energy customers - now with Co-op - end of 1 year

deleted - figures were all skeewiff!
basically, even including the £150 offer there are still cheaper suppliers0 -
Very Interesting. My Ex-GB tariff with Co-op ends on 9 August. I have received three letters - 17 June, 28 June and 8 July. None of them with the offer of £150 to stay. I am in the middle of a transfer that should take effect on 27 July and on 21 July suddenly comes the £150 offer to stay! They must be losing a lot of customers who are trnasferring for better deals and are getting a bit desperate!0

Same £150 "offer" here too but not worth the effort.0

My fix with GB Energy ended on 23 June. I received 2 mailings in May inviting me to change tariff - they recommended my GB lite 2018 elec. No offers made to stay.
I had electric only and have switched to Bristol Energy.0 -
Thanks everyone for your feedback.
I also got the bonus offer but dismissed it. I'm electricity only and the cheapest options are the new companies IRESA and Select at an extra £40 per year. The more established companies are £100 per year more.
No idea where to go, seems a bit like taking a leap of faith :eek:0 -
My tarrif runs out with GB on the 12th. I am wanting to switch now to avoid any expensive standard tarrif rates. I am I'm credit with GB, the credited amount is more than my monthly direct debit.
Can anyone please give me some insight and advice into what happens when switching from GB and how I receive my credit and whether or not my last bill will be paid through direct debit or the credit in my account.
Thank you0 -

The process will be completely different to when you switched to GB last year...
See how confusing these things get

I have switched and I am around £32 in credit with GB. I have stopped my direct debit as I don't want them owing me more money. It's a bit cheeky that they expect you to request the refund.
Quote from email:
"During the switch-over process, we require your final readings from your new supplier. Once we have received these, your final bill is automatically generated and sent to you by email.
Please allow four weeks for us to receive your final readings. Once your meter readings have been received we will generate and send your final bill. We do ask that you take extra care in checking the information enclosed within your final bill. If you are eligible for a refund at this time, we do advise that you contact us to process your refund. Afterwards, your account will be closed.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing GB Energy Supply part of Co-Operative Energy."Je suis sabot...0 -
GB have just sent me £41.35 refund without my having to request it.0
