Got my Green Flag recovery breakdown cover renewal this month, £85.12 up from £83.21 last year but with a bonus for 1 year no call out discount. So, went on line and got quote from Green Flag site for next level higher cover (Recovery Plus as apposed to Recovery) of £76.16!. Telephoned Green Flag and got explanation that this was offer for new customers and they matched for me. So, beware no real rewards for loyalty or no claims, you have to check every year and be prepared to challenge/move. Ridiculous.

Was called by customer services who understood my grievance and said they would pass on details of issue but no resolution (since this practice makes extra revenue for Green Flag at existing customers expense I am sure it will not come as any surprise to the powers that be)...when I asked what the No Call Out Discount percentage was I was told that information is not available to customers, INCREDIBLE! was told this was just as with motor car insurance, derr isn't the 40% no claims discount figure in car insurance a clue as to what discount you get?

They all do this.

Ditto car insurance and house insurance.

Call up asking to cancel is standard procedure to get the correct price.

Should've tried harder - we get recovery plus for £41! Although the renewal letter said it was £60 with 2 years no call discount. Loyalty counts for nothing nowadays.
