Finalising Inheritance Tax Bill

First the good news: the IHT30 worked. I receive the Clearance Certificate within a short time, confirming that all IHT due has been paid.

Now the bad news: like HHarry above, I had overpaid, to make sure that I would be covered if the values were revised upwards. So I filled in section F of the IHT30 requesting repayment, but we're now about six weeks on and nothing has happened.

HHarry or anyone else, have you received your repayment?

Mine arrived can't remember how long it took. They pay you 0.5% on the over-payment (but charge you 3.25% if you owe them!)

Haven't had mine yet. We were clear on the 11th December.

It's only a couple of hundred pounds, so I'm probably just going to wait and see if it turns up, rather than wasti g my energy chasing HMRC at the moment.
