What to do if appeal period is expired?

Hi experts!
I was issued a PCN last month and researched about the company (they are a member of BPA) and even drafted my appeal letter. But then I traveled and have been offline until recently, after the appealing period has passed (namely, after day 25-26 has suggested in the newbies post). That was silly of me, I know!
In fact, I'm not even back in the UK yet, so I don't know if I received a letter from them or not.
What do you think I should do next? Appeal anyway (using their online form) or any other suggestions?!
Thanks!

Just try appealing anyway (don't make any mention of appeal being late). They'll either:
1. Accept your appeal and cancel the PCN
2. Reject your appeal and give you a POPLA code
3. Reject your appeal and tell you you've missed the appeal date.
3 is most likely, in which case you sit and wait for an LBCCC or a court claim. 2 is possible and 1 is a bonus.
Knowing the company might give insight as to which of 1, 2 or 3 is likely.
And of course ... complain to the landowner.0 -
If this was a windscreen ticket, then you are not out of time. The scammers will apply to the DVLA for the keeper details and then the keeper will have the opportunity to appeal.
If it was a NTK through the post, then send a late appeal using the BPA template in blue from the NEWBIES. The worst than can happen is they will reject it and then you go into ignore mode unless you get real court papers.
Also, you should complain to your MP.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Hi,
the company is UK Parking Control Ltd (UKPC) and it was a windscreen ticket.Just try appealing anyway (don't make any mention of appeal being late).
Makes perfect sense to me too. I'm not feeling lucky, but will keep my fingers crossed for the bonus reply number 1. :-)
@Fruitcake, I will also write to my MP, it's a good idea.
It says on the PCN that "Representations concerning this Parking Charge should be made within 28 days (beginning with the day after this notice is given)"; I take it this is a way to scare people so that they pay upfront!
Thanks!0 -
UK Parking Control Ltd (UKPC) are this bunch of ex-clampers:

Appeal anyway.
Or, if you are due back soon, wait and see if a NTK is at home and appeal against that, straight away when you open it. The soonest they could have posted a NTK was 29 days after the parking event and you would then have another 28 days to appeal, so if the PCN was last month, you have a bit of time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
