Hi all
Read the sticky but was a little quick off the mark to get an appeal going. History below but not too sure on the next move, so any advice appreciated?
Wife gets ticket as she has entered a 'X' instead of 'K' in the registration text. I send appeal the next day, which goes as follows;
Dear Sir/Madam
In reference to the above charge notice issued at 06:53 15/07/2017 and my vehicle Make/Model/*K** ***.
This was my wife's first time driving the car and she mistakenly entered the incorrect registration as *X** ***. Parking was paid in zone xxxxx from 17:14 on Fri 14/07/17 until 17:14 on Sat 15/07/17 and were charged a total of £10.45.
If you could check your ANPR records, it will clearly show that the above [car make], registered to myself, was parked at this location during these times and not a black VW with registration *X** ***.
As this was a genuine mistake with parking being paid and no-one being left "out of pocket", it would be appreciated if you could look further into this charge.
if further information such as payment or confirmation details are required please let me know.
Kind regards,
The response is;

Further to your email received 17th July 2017, regarding the above PCN.
At this stage of the appeal process we can only deal directly with the driver of the vehicle during the
parking period. Please confirm that you were the driver at the material time so that we may progress
this appeal further. If you were not the driver please come back to us within 7 days providing the name
and serviceable UK address of the driver.
In accordance with the Data Protection Act and the guidelines set out by our accredited trade association
(ATA), we are only permitted to discuss this matter with the driver at this stage.
Please be aware that we require a serviceable UK postal address from the driver which we have not
received to date. Please forward your address to us as soon as possible. In the absence of a serviceable
UK address, we reserve the right to apply to the DVLA for registered keeper details.
You should be aware that if the driver fails to acknowledge their liability in relation to this matter, the
registered keeper of the vehicle may become liable to pay any unpaid charges in accordance with the
Protection of Freedom Act 2012.
Thank you

Any suggestions would be appreciated?

The keeper has appealed so you are now in ignore mode like the NEWBIES tells you, unless you get real court papers.
It's a shame you gave away the driver's identity, however it appears you didn't actually give her name, so you may be OK if they don't link the two.
The scammers are telling lies. There is no law in the land that requires you to give the driver's name, and the service address can be anywhere in the world, not just the UK.I married my cousin. Pay or not to pay?
Stick pins in your eyes or don't stick pins in your eyes? The answer is the same to both questions.
I would complain to the DVLA. You are appealing as the keper which is your legal right. There is no obligation to name the driver. The driver should not be named at all.
Tell the DVLA that your right to appeal is being frustrated. Copy in PPS and the IPC.

We would prefer everyone who gets an unfair parking charge notice complains as advised above. It will never stop otherwise.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0
