Why do people lie!!! so upset!!!!

I suppose its possible they are telling the truth - is there any sign of them frantically searching for a source of another loan? (Would imagine thats easy to get? - but am only talking from own experience - where they always fall over themselves to offer me more than I want - cant answer for anyone else).
If they have lied - then do you have legal right to any compensation from them to cover costs?0 -

Well, it happened to us. DB changed their minds after giving us an offer in principle. It was due to the credit crisis. A lot of banks are changing their minds just now. It depends on where you are in the process. The offer is not the same as the actual signed contract. I'm not sure, but I think Preferred tried to wriggle out of that with us, but it was too late: the contract was signed.:beer:0 -

Agree - It looks like a lot of Lenders are 'changing the Goal posts' on an almost daily basis.0 -
I agree that GHPC is a decent site. Much better than the nutters at the other place.
Actually HPC now has 8000+ members, I am one of them and have been for some years, and don't think I am a nutter at all!! It has some very good posts and some excellent members, but I agree some topics take the proverbial a bit.
GHPC is a boring website.
Back to OP.. sorry to hear of the situation you are in.. Hope it gets sorted for you quickly although I would hate to say it but don't hold your breath for a quick sale. Even auctions are only selling on average 33% of all houses going to auction.
Best of luck!0
