Have a look at the documents you have received - if you are a tenant, could it relate to a previous tenant. You could check with your landlord. If it's your own house, and you've been there for a while and know it is a mistake, best bet is to contact the company. Spark Energy are a real energy company based in Selkirk Scotland. It could be just an addressing error on their part. Can't imagine why you would want to sue them, but I'd suggest it's in your interest to try and sort it out so you don't get hassled anymore.

Unless you provide more information, then no help will be forthcoming. The most likely scenario is where someone moves into a property and takes out a contract with a supplier but forgets that there is already an existing (Deemed) Contract in place. The Deemed Supplier then has to initiate an investigation to determine who the current owner/tenant is? Alternatively, the previous owner/tenant moves out and conveniently forgets to tell the supplier. Worst case, Sparks has erroneously taken over your supply.

In sum, you need to provide more in formation. I would make a start by checking which suppliers are listed on the database:

    Hi zxy111 :hello:
    Have y'all missed me? :D

Sorry I don't really have any advice for you at this stage - more info needed..

Just wanted to say it looks like we are both a bit late to the party, with some having begun last weekend, although most troops will not be arriving until this weeked.

Lets make this a Summer to remember! Could be up to 8 weeks, if we include the latecomers. :j

    Many thanks.
I have home insurance (property and content) -would that cover for electronics items as well.
this is slightly irrelevant question to the topic. please advise as i keep buying (duplicate) insurances for individual items for one reason that i will have to keep reusing from home insurance as things frequently go wrong with individual items (thus multiple claims using home insurance)..

    Thanks
  • Hi xyz111

Sorry to hear you've been contacted about a bill that you don't think is yours.

Thanks to Bigphil1474 and Hengus for the advice they've already given.

The best way to get this sorted out is to email the details given in my profile, confirming your full name and the supply address we've sent your bill to, along with confirmation of the customer reference number that should be given on the first page of the bill.

As others have already advised it could be that this bill isn't yours. We really need more information to look at things.

Hope to hear from you soon - happy to help get this all sorted out.

    Kind regards

    Good question xyz111! :T

You can never have too much insurance in my opinion.

However, if you are doubley insuring something, you need to let both insurers know of the other when claiming, and they should sort it out - typically they will share the cost of the payout to you. :)
