Presumably when a 'Judgment for Claimant ( in default )' has been received from Northampton the games up? We're talking Excel Parking here. Seems like the victim never sent the court papers back, but apparently she did, and has proof of posting. How to proceed? Thanks.
Edit: I told her to ring the court office to get the set-aside paperwork sent.

Has her credit file been marked with the unsatisfied debt? Needs to check that urgently especially if in the process of acquiring a mortgage or loans.
She needs to look at how a set-aside application works (NEWBIES sticky, post #2). If she wants to apply for a set-aside it needs to be done quickly.
More reading on set asides etc.

If she has proof of posting she must complain to the CCBC to reverse the judgment (urgently) and reopen the claim and attach her defence they must have lost. Check that she did return the defence properly signed & dated, to the CCBC and not to Excel?
We've heard this more than once now. Shocking from CCBC, they are struggling with all these parking cases though, ridiculous.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks. I'll check the precise circumstances as to posting - and it's a good point, maybe she sent it to Excel. Actually, as I recall, she never sent in her defence. The reply was the initial one to buy some time.
Edit: County Court Judgement was on 07 July.0
