Hi i am asking this on behalf of a friend. Basically the jist is she ran up a massive bill on her orange mobile contract. her dad contacted orange and they agreed to reduce the bill to £400 pounds. they sent her a letter asking her to pay £22 a month repayment. she didnt make any repayments for a month or two and then paid the bill off in full. When she went to get a car on finance about a year after they turned her down because she had a default on her credit file. When she did an experian credit report it showed that orange had put a default on there and it said that the account was settled. she never received a default notice from orange about this and surely because the account was settled in full, can she get this default removed from her credit file?0
