I've had this hassle with BG for years. I live in Reading but have a BTL house in London. When I called them to do the first gas inspection, they told me I would need to disassemble the cupboard. Therefore I have to travel to London every year, park at £2.40 per hour, disassemble the cupboard, get the boiler checked, reassemble the cupboard, then come home.

To do all that, and have them not show up is very annoying. In the past they have offered me £10, but I've usually spent more than that just on the parking. It usually ends up with me suing them for £45. BG pay that and reimburse my court fees.
