are you bothered where you go? no=last minute yes=do it now
are you bothered which airport? no =last minute yes=do it now
are you bothered what type of hotel? for example named? no =last minute yes=do it now
But saying all that you can still book now and save a fortune by doing it all yourself...low cost airline and somewhere like holidayhotels for you stay to keep the cost down chose a resort (if your doing diy) that is not a million miles from the airport.
But generaly the more set things are important to you the sooner you should book and the sooner you book (package) the more it will cost...hope that helped and didnt confuse you all the more
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

    Me too :(

I'm looking for a week in an aparthotel in August and I feel like I've looked at every brochure/website on the planet.

I used to book last minute before I had children because it doesn't matter if you end up going somewhere dodgy, but with children you have to really do your homework and 'choose' where you want to go...... it's a nightmare!
Just run, run and keep on running!

I had the same problem and Im sure many people have the following list of websites, but I found these very helpful, especially in deciding the hotel for my trip to Reus next week, with my children.

I hope these can be of some help to you guys.

By the way, I am looking for suggestions for the week August 26th/27th any ideas???

I've had a look at some of those sites but I've not heard of some of the others.

I booked my June holiday to Greece last October, because I knew it would be hard to get what I wanted. We have just decided to go away again in October and I have spent days trying to get the right apartment and resort. I have finally managed it but it was hard.

I would say book early unless your not that fussed where you go.

I have a real good one for you. this is for 2 adults.

1 week in tenerife flying from Birmingham. with monarch https://www.flymonarch.com

leave birmingham thur 14th july till 21st july flight = £240

    1 weeks h/b staying at the 3* tropical playa hotel = £261 https://www.wintersunshineholidays.co.uk

    1 weeks insurance = £20 https://www.direct-travel.co.uk

    Transfers by taxi = £30

    For everything that is £551.

The hotel gets very good reviews on https://www.holidaysuncovered.co.uk and https://www.holiday-truths.co.uk and it has a web page, just lost the paper with the address on it but just ask google.

So there you are 1 weeks half board for 2 for £551 for everything.

https://www.flymonarch.com have some real cheap flights they are scheduled flights so you can choose any number of nights if you wanted to go for 9 nights it is only £280 but your accommodation will go up. also https://www.wintersunshineholidays.co.uk have cheaper accommodation then most of the others. the green oasis in puerto del carmen is £413 which saveapenny found for you wintersunshineholidays have the same accommodation all inclusive for £384 that is a saving of £29 but remember every little helps. Also if you go half board then all you have to save up for is beer money.
