    Good morning one and all,

A nice surprise yesterday when I got a text to say my brother was coming over with new baby Willow, so after I played football I drove over. Only seen her for 10 mins as they soon left. Cute as buttons and absolutely adore her.

I doubt there will be such surprises tonight. I remembered to defrost some soup, so that'll be my dinner. Not sure what else to get up to.

nannywindow - Sorry to heard the sad news about the pup. What a traumatic ordeal it would've been for all.
Gers - Glad it went well. So eloquently put.

Good morning, hugs and positive vibes to all that need them.

Thanks HH for the new thread.

Small amount of rain here this morning, not enough to stop OH going cycling:D, more forecast for later and tomorrow:D

Session with PT this morning, I go for an hour each week with the aim of stopping everything seizing up completely, it is one to one so a bit expensive, but he is brilliant with old and/or poorly bods like me and makes me work while ensuring that I do not make anything worse. After brunch on my return I hope to be able to do a little weeding, clay soil like iron, but the rain may have helped.

Lasagne from freezer for OH for supper, mine yet to be decided, freezer still has lots of stuff in, but seems to be lots of odds and ends, needs a defrost so trying not to buy meat or fish until it has been done:(

    Morning all,

Just waiting for it to dry off a bit before I take Ly1a out.We didnt get any thunder/lightning or torrential rain ,but its looking dark.DGD was really tired last night and was staying, reckon she had about 13 hrs sleep.Just had the usual battle with her hair ,its long and curly so quite prone to tangles & I couldnt find the detangling spray.Anyway its done and she wanted it half up,half down:).I'm afraid my girls hairdressing skills are basic ,having had 2 sons its all new to me :o

Nannywindow-how awful for poor little Rafa pup,so sorry.
TA- glad to hear the op was ok,lets hope its a success.
Tru-when I saw the news about Coverack my heart sunk for those poor people.I saw the water rushing down the road and it took me straight back 18 months ago to when we were flooded and the road collapsed.Took us 16 months for the road to be finished-hope its a darned sight quicker for them.
Gers-sounds like the interview went well

I'm off to school later for my last voluntary session of this school year,I've really enjoyed it this year-lovely class.
I made a retirement card for our dentist & DS gave it to him when he went yesterday, apparently he was very touched. He has been our dentist since DSons were small( and little imps!) he was always very patient and good humoured.DH & I have already seen the new one,she seems very young, but DS had some ongoing treatment to finish off,and still has to go back next week.

    Right,off dogwalking,bye for now.

    Morning all

I'm on the train on the way to School airport, I've already heard that the flight is delayed but only 45 mins so far.

I've had a lovely stay here, such a clean and relaxing city and easy to get around. Seeing DS2 was great, he has a good life over here but seems to work too hard! His gf is lovely too.

It will be great to get home, I have an invitation out late afternoon which is just as well as there isn't any food in the house!

So sorry to hear of Rafa pup, what a shock.

Have a good day, take care. Xx
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

We have rain, not the torrent we were told to expect, but rain never the less. Its very grey, not complaining, we needed the rain so badly.

Nanny, so sorry to hear about Rafa, such a shock especially with the dog being so young.

No plans for the day, will possibly be doing some sewing will see how I feel. Yesterdays visit went off ok, we went and dumped the old TV and then called to see our friend, stayed chatting for about an hour.

    Sausage for supper tonight.

Good morning everyone, thanks to Hester for starting the thread and hugs to anyone that needs one.

Nanny, poor we Rafa at least he didn't suffer

After torrential rain yesterday evening it's sunny again though much cooler.

Younger son made it up the road from Cardiff without hitting the horrible weather which was great as it is a long enough drive without battling rain & wind.

He's off to get his car MOT'd in a bit and I'm for a tidy up and then hopefully a potter outside.

Hope everyone has a good day x

    Hi all
I always read along but don't post much. Thought I'd try harder so here goes!

Cooler here today so did the ironing first thing. Someone was due at 9. to collect a wooden train set that DD was selling but no show. Grr!

DH has gone to get his hair cut and will pick up DGS (3) from nursery st 12. We do this pickup three times a week at the moment. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We will give him lunch and play until DD gets back to hers about 1.45 . DH will drop him back to her. Luckily she only lives five minutes away!

I have cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and am enjoying a bit of peace.

Out for a meal with friends tonight so no cooking whoopee.

hope everyone is well and hugs to the worried and sad. I have spoons to spare so grab a few if you need some energy.

    Have a good day.

My delivery of new plates from JL was a bit of a disaster - four of the six all broken! They weren't packed with enough padding. They are going to send out replacements and told me I could keep the others, no such joy as they went straight to the tip.

I had loads for the tip anyway, and a smelly kitchen bag so it was worth my while doing it.

Now got a text from another delivery company (DX) saying they'll deliver my chairs today. I very much doubt they will come today as normally items go up to Oban to be delivered by our (what was) Oban Express and is now Menzies. They're always at least a day behind. I'm out all day tomorrow so, no doubt, they'll be in the barn.

There's still no rain here though the sky is white and it feels muggy. The wind is high too so perhaps the rain is being swept further afield.

    Nothing else to report...

Don't expect it any time soon! I was due a parcel for a job I had to complete on Monday - it arrived today (I live in Oban!!)

Today has been a very busy day. Little bit stressful as I'm STILL not ready for Saturday's fair and ow I'm at work. Also working tomorrow so time is fast disappearing.
