Maiden name on car insurance

I'm not sure if this really is an issue at all or if I am just worrying about nothing...
I got married a month ago and have started the process of changing my name beginning with my driving licence. I got my new licence in my married name through the post today however it then occurred to me that my name on my driving licence now does not match the name on my car insurance policy. I can update the details through the insurers website but it takes 48 hours to process. Does this mean for the next 48 hours I am effectively uninsured? Or would my insurance company still have to honour my policy given that it still refers to the same person? What about my breakdown cover (also a personal policy under my maiden name)?
Changing your name is an awful bother...

No, you are still insured, you're over-thinking it. There is a marriage certificate that proves you are the same person. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

There is nothing to do you using your maiden name for some things and your married name for others - many women do. You are still coming ended by the insurance policy. At worst it would mean having to send in some extra documentation to.prove that you are who you say you are if the insurance company asked to see your driving licence and queried why the name of. It didn't match the name on the policy.0

Why bother?
It's a social convention - not a legal requirement.
Some married women use their maiden name as a middle name - that is very common in some countries.
As said, you are over thinking this.0 -
Your marriage certificate proves you have the right to call yourself by your husbands name, but you don't have to. You can legally call yourself either name or a combination of the 2 over various places/accounts/passport etc.0

I know I don't have toMy husband and I would like to have children in a few years and I want our family to all have the same name... I'm a doctor and I am going to continue to practice under my maiden name anyway so changing my surname in my personal life doesn't feel like a big deal. It's just all the associated paperwork thats the bother!
