Hive heating system

Hi guys I'm a private tenant and went with hive heating system and was wondering what happens if I ever move out the flat I'm in as I pay £9 a month for the heating system direct debit and not sure what would happen when I move out as they took my old heating and hot water and timer off the wall and relaxed it with the hive any help is appreciated :)

    From their website:
Cancellation charges apply in the first 24 months - £150 up to the end of month 12 and £70 from month 13 up to the end of month 24[2]

    Moving home
If you move home the subscription is not transferable to your new
home. If you move within two years of starting the subscription
a cancellation fee will be payable unless you sign up to a new
subscription in your new home. Let us know as soon as possible
if you are moving so that we can cancel your subscription, and
set you up with a new subscription if you ask us to.

I would presume once cancellation is paid (if within the two years), or after two years, the Hive is yours - so you could take it with you, but you'd have to put controls back in their place. Frankly I'd expect if you do move, you'd want to get the latest tech at the time for yourself and leave behind the Hive. Did you ask the landlord for permission before changing the controls? I doubt it'd be a problem if not - but they could use it as leverage to be awkward later if they choose.
