The solicitor is a partner and had been the controller of my father's estate,appointed by the Office of Care and Protection.Trusting the Office of Care and Protection,when this solicitor applied for executorship of my father's estate close to my father's death,I did not understand this nor the juxtaposed application for a statutory will.At which point the original,illegible copy of my father's will was sent to me,naming me and a brother as executors.[No attempt was made to provide legible copies].Subsequently my father's will was discredited,though in the safe-keeping of the previous soilictor,as it's origins could not be ascertained.A witness lives 12 miles away.At a meeting,the executor[the controller/solicitor] was appointed and a statutory will put in place,neither of which I knew anything about-believing this was OCP procedure.It was surprising to me,when my father died,that the responsibilities of the Office of Care and Protection ceased forthwith and that this solicitor was now the executor.I actually could not believe why he had stepped into the breach.I subsequently came to see it was about business.I actually thought the office of Care and Protection had directed him to volunteer to be executor.Looking at the accounts,there are economic benefits.My father's will was air-brushed out of the procedure.
This,and much more,is what happened and which meant nothing.There was an agenda running,and it was tightly controlled.
It is depressing and fatiguing to be ignored with impunity.
