Get Rid of unused Credit Cards

Afternoon all,

Over the last 6 months I have been getting my finances back in order - and with that I've used a number of credit cards (7 in fact) with all different deals.

I've dropped down from £42k to £28k over the last 2 years and now I've put more attention into the debt the more I feel positive its clearing at a faster rate.

I've got 2 credit cards (Mint £500 Limit & Virgin £7,000 Limit) though no cards have deals and I was wondering if I should close these accounts down?

I'd suggest you keep one and use it occasionally - they are useful for emergencies, car hire, hotel stays and additional protection on expensive purchases.

The only exception if you have issues not spending (like a friend of mine) and may simply build the debt backup. She is debit card only girl.
