Package price increases vs. Discounts

Around 8 months ago I negotiated 12 months' free Anytime calls with Plusnet. It was not discussed as a £6.50 discount (despite that being added to cancel out the charge every month), but as 12 months' free.
Now they have put the cost up to £7.00, but the discount has stayed the same.
I can understand if a specific cash discount is negotiated then price increases then have an effect, but if it is worded as above then IMO the discount should increase to offset it?
Sky generally go in for % off, or £ off so it is a bit more clear cut.
