I started uni last year (2016) at the age of 59. In May this year (2017) I had my 60th birthday.
SFE now tells me that for my second year, my maintenance loan drops from £8600 (approx) to £3566 ' because I will be 60 on the first day of term'.
Difficult to get clarification but most information I have found re. funding refers to
'The first day of the first academic year of the course'. At this point I was 59.
As I do not and have been unable to secure a part time job to cover this, I will have to finish uni and declare bankruptcy, which is miffing me somewhat.
Anyone have an idea of what is correct?
